Winner-2003 Cornerstone Award for Excellance in Concrete This project consists of an artificial rock spa, a wading pool with a fossilized shell-laced floor, a swim-in cave with it's own waterfall, a 40 ft. waterslide, and a multi-tiered waterfall cascading wildly throughout the feature. Ellis Residence, Thousand Oaks, Ca. This unique 2005 Cornerstone award winning, Japanese-themed feature, combines an ultra-custom artificial rock spa with an adjoining koi pond. The planting, statuary and multiple waterfalls combine to create a harmonious setting that can be enjoyed year round. The Cornerstone Awards, held annually at the prestigious Ritz-Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, are presented by the Southern California Ready-Mix Concrete Association and are designed to honor those of us in the concrete industry who create unique and outstanding projects worthy of consideration.
